SMI ORCAN News A.Hagberg to continue with ORCAN

Alexander Hagberg will continue to use ORCAN engines as well as fuel, mufflers and other accessories from the ORCAN product line of SMI Motorsport for his 2014 nitro on-road campaign. The 24 year old Xray factory driver from Sweden is focused on the 200 I.C. World Championship in Bangkok at the end of the year but further more he will compete at the European Championship and some races of the Euro Nitro Series (ENS) and in his home country. His Xray NT1’14 will be powered by the brand new ORCAN .12 RS3-MH, the follow-up version of the successful and title-winning LR3/GT3 engines. The new stage of development from Bertram Kessler, central figure at the German Xray importer SMI, and Michael Heinrich of MH-Tuning, is meant to offer improved torque in the low and mid RPM range as well as higher top speed, specially on medium and large tracks.

Alexander Hagberg has the following to say:

“For 2014, being a worlds year for the 200mm IC class, it will be more important than ever to have a good and reliable engine set-up. I will continue with my ORCAN deal throughout this season, using engines, mufflers, fuel and accessories from the German brand at all my nitro races. I want to thank Bertram Kessler and SMI for this opportunity, and I am looking forward to EC, WC, ENS and Swedish Cup races together with this sponsor.”
